around Kievits Kroon

Kievits Kroon is a destination which promises guests the opportunity to relax in the peace and tranquillity of a secure and beautiful country estate. There is plenty to do in the area for more active guests, and we are happy to recommend a variety of activities from historic tours to shopping.

Getting Around

Transfers to and from various destinations, including OR Tambo International Airport, local attractions and shopping centres can be arranged through the Front Desk. Rates are available on request.

Kievits Kroon is situated in the Dinokeng area, which is the north-eastern quadrant of Gauteng province. Dinokeng, with its close proximity to Pretoria and Johannesburg, offers visitors a variety of exciting experiences, ranging from adrenalin activities, to game drives and a trip down a diamond mine.

Visit the Roodeplaat Dam Nature Reserve, Lesedi Cultural Village or Kruger House Museum or take a township tour. Enjoy game viewing on horseback, experience a shebeen tour, go mountain biking, hot air ballooning or micro-lighting, or play paint ball.

The quaint Victorian village of Cullinan – where the world’s largest diamond was found – is a 20-minute drive away and features clusters of original miners’ stone cottages, a turn-of-the-century station and authentic trading centre buildings. Cullinan has a number of small restaurants and offers mine tours.
