History
Kievits Kroon is a 16 hectare upmarket country estate in Pretoria, Gauteng, with superb leisure and conferencing facilities. Built in 1997, the estate once had a dedicated chapel and was a popular wedding venue, but the chapel has been converted to a multifunctional conference venue as well as chapel facility.
The estate houses a 142 luxury hotel rooms with a library bar, two restaurants, multi award winning wine list on display for selection in various of walk-in cellars on the estate, a wellness spa with superb thermae facilities including an indoor heated pool, an outdoor lap pool with heated vitality pool as well as a cocktail pool bar, a Conference Centre, and a large banqueting and events venue.
With its lush, manicured lawns, beautiful rose beds, landscaped gardens and Cape Dutch-style Manor House, Kievits Kroon is reminiscent of the wine estates of the Cape, and has been labelled ‘the Winelands in Gauteng’.
Today this luxury, award-winning hotel in Pretoria, just 45 minutes from Sandton, is acknowledged to be one of the top 10 romantic getaways in Gauteng, and one of the leading wellness spas in the country.
The Estate
Kievits Kroon is set on 16 ha of manicured gardens and lawn, just outside Pretoria in Gauteng. The buildings, which make up the hotel, are dotted around the estate amongst the trees and rose gardens. At the heart of the estate is the Manor House with Reception, Library Bar, and Granita Signature Restaurant and wine cellar.
The sparkling lap pool and heated vitality outdoor pool as well as the Pool Bar separate the Manor House from the Kingsley’s Restaurant complex which also houses the Lord Charles Dinning and events Venue with lounge and cocktail bar.
The Conference Centre, Winelands Spa, De Kasteel functions hall and Old Chapel are all separate standalone buildings located on the north side of the property. The accommodation units are on the south side, separated by the Manor House and swimming pool area.
