Kievits Kroon is situated in the Dinokeng area, which is the north-eastern quadrant of Gauteng province. Dinokeng, with its close proximity to Pretoria and Johannesburg, offers visitors a variety in experiences, ranging from adventure and arts & crafts to scenic splendours and wellness retreats. Dinokeng’s many game reserves and conservancies, are being linked together and restocked with game to form a  ‘Big Five’ game reserve in the future.

The quaint Victorian village of Cullinan - where the world's largest diamond was found - is a 20 minute drive away and features clusters of original stone miner's cottages, a turn-of-the-century station and authentic trading centre buildings. Cullinan has a number of small restaurants and offers mine tours.

A range of activities are also available in the area: horse-back game viewing safaris, sunset dam cruises, game drives, mountain biking excursions and hot air ballooning. These can be arranged through various tour operators and game lodges.
